April is truly A Mayden is Beautiful. I just got a bit mixed up. So, if any of you have something for this coming month, please share it. In May, we are talking about A Mayden Is Joyful! Please write about that too, if you have anything to contribute to that!
As usual, if you are not a part of this group, but would like to contribute, please email me with your article, and I will put it in here. I will post your email, and such, so that the people who read the post, will contact you, if they need to.
Please, I would like to continue Mayden Fair. If I don't get anything by June 1st, Mayden Fair will be discontinued and I will work on my other blogs, that are more prevelant in my life, at this time!
So, may the Lord bless all of you Maydens, and please, feel free to write whatever is on your heart, EVEN IF IT IS NOT ON THIS MONTHS AGENDA!
In Christ Alone,
Laura H.

What is Beauty?
What is beauty? Is it in the clothes we wear, the way we behave, or in the things we do?
I say no. Beauty is of a meek and quiet spirit, honoring the Lord, in spirit and in truth. Beauty is like that of the Virtuous Woman in Proverbs. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but the woman WHO FEARS THE LORD, she shall be praised. Beauty is not of the flesh, but of the spirit.
Here is what two dictionarys say about the word beauty!
Main Entry: beau·ty
Pronunciation: \ˈbyü-tē\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural beauties
Etymology: Middle English beaute, bealte, from Anglo-French, from bel, beau beautiful, from Latin bellus pretty; akin to Latin bonus good — more at bounty
Date: 14th century
1: the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit : loveliness
2: a beautiful person or thing; especially : a beautiful woman
3: a particularly graceful, ornamental, or excellent quality
4: a brilliant, extreme, or egregious example or instance

Here are some verses that talk about beauty, and some of it's disadvantages and advantages.
Psa 39:11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity.
Psa 45:11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
Psa 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Isa 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
So, I hope this has helped you a little about the beauty of our souls, and since we are to be imitaters of CHrist, we reflect his beauty. Amen!
Until next time,

Recipe Renegade
Hey sisters,
I have put together a recipe blog, for those of you who want to find some really good recipes. I will post recipes on this blog, once a day. Whatever recipe falls into my hands, I will put on this blog, for you to copy, paste, and print. This is not part of the recipe book I am doing. I inherited a whole lot of recipes from an older "adopted" grandmother, who wanted to get rid of them. So, I have some old antique recipes that I thought I could share with you. So, keep this in mind, as you are looking for something to cook for dinner.
